Even though you posted "anonymously", I'm still going to respond because this issue is very crucial.
I'm assuming you are in Minnesota and an duly commissioned or licensed MN Notary Public. Given that you will be doing the notarizations in MN, it makes no difference where the documents are going to end up. You notarize the documents in accordance with YOUR state laws. You do not need to use or complete a California compliant certificate. Your certificates only need to comply with Minnesota laws.
Further, you NEVER, NEVER, NEVER send a loose certificate to anyone for any reason. You only attach a loose certificate to the document for which it is intended. And you should also annotate the loose certificate such that it can only be attached to the proper document.
