Crabby Borrower

Hey All! I called a b.o to set up time for her e-doc closing, and I asked her, "If I'm running late, will that be a problem?" (I ALWAYS ask that question for e-docs because you never know if you're gonna get them on time or not). She said, "Oh, no problem! I have dance class and I may not get home until 7:30". (Closing scheduled for 7).
Well, my day totally fell apart. I was in another town with a 1st & a 2nd, and the l.o sitting at the table looking everything over. (Grr). Which of course, made me late for my other appt. in the same town.
So I call the dancer and told her hubby I am running quite late, and it looks like it will be closer to 8 pm before I can get there. I suggest if they would like, we could meet at a local resturant. He's all nice and pleasant and I tell him to please have the wife call me. Oh she does! And informs me, "No way am I signing at 8 pm! I have to go to bed early, and no f*****ing way will she meet me at a resturant as she has worked ALL day! She said, "You told me you might be running late, but not this f*****ing late!" My ear was burning up!
I called the ss..of course nobody "home" so I left a message for them to call me ASAP.
Of course, since Ms. Dancer wouldn't sign last night, docs will have to be re-drawn.
Anybody else had this happen? And how do I "save" myself with the ss?
Thanks.

Just let the SS know that you were running late because an LO was at your first signing and that you did everything you could to keep the borrower informed. You called the SS for guidance and left a message. I don't see how you could have done any more unless you cloned yourself to go see Ms. Prima Donna. Smiley

Sounds to me like you're dealing with a couple different personalities. Your BO goes from super sweet to evil real quick, all because of a half hour. Amazing, but not surprising.

OMG! Dr. Jeckyl and Mrs. Hyde! I guess all you can do is explain what happened to the SS and hope they find someone else to take over that signing when it is redone! (Scary!)
I had a guy once who was screaming/cursing and throwing papers all over the table b/c the fees were not what he was told. I went out to wait in my car and called the co. that sent me out and they told me to wait in my car while they calmed him down! (Yeah, right!) Then, they had the nerve to call and reschedule me for another try with him! I've turned every signing down they've offered me since then! (This wasn't the first problem I had run into with this particular co., but it was the last!)

SS called me this am to find if loan closed, I explained the entire situation and they were VERY understanding. I'm gonna attempt this closing today at 4 pm. Hope she's in a better mood today! Geez. Thanks for the input.
