DCS Mobile Notaries Payment Issues

Has anyone done business with Dakota Creek Signings also known as DCS Mobile Notaries? I completed two signings for this company a couple of months ago, and I have been unable to collect from them. The lady from DCS that contacted me for the jobs has given me 100 different excuses, that are supposedly from the owner, whom I have never been able to reach (she says he is responsible for payment, as she is just a notary who works for him). His contact phone number goes to her, I have his mailing address, e-mail address, and fax number, but all attemps to contact him has not brought about any response. If anyone has any feedback on this company positive or negative please reply.

"never again" DCS Mobile Notaries Payment Issues

Hi Anon
I did 2 signings for them back in August. submitted faxes of completion...phone calls yada yada......... The agreement was pay in 30. I called sandy at the end of Sept- explained "no check yet? Do you have everything? (ie W9 etc) She said she would talk to dwayne and get back to me- I week later I emailed him and still nothing. Sandy called me the first week of Oct and asked me to do a signing in my area...... I polotly refused and said no more til you give me status on payment for August. She said I'll talk to dwayne and call you back....nothing
I called her last week (mon) She said all checks went out on the 30th. I said OK thx....nothing yet..... This mon called I called back and left msg......no check yet couldn't have been sent out. Also told them I would not be doing anymore signings for them. I tried to login to website to click on Dwaynes email.......I've been removed. I think I got stiffed on this one........learning exp. I guess. I left msg at the mortgage company this afternoon to get the title co info for the loans...VM no respose. I posted on Dakota last week there was another notary in MASS who was having same issue.......(search dakota) I have been doing this a year and this is my first - no pay SS. I'm not sure where to go from here. Good Luck- we should all keep each other posted on updates........

Re: "never again" DCS Mobile Notaries Payment Issues

Hi PJA,
Thank you for responding. Sandy is the person I have been dealing with. I told her I felt she is playing games with me. I hvae mailed invoices to Dwayne, sent faxes and e-mails all with no response (maybe he is fictious). Sandy is the person that called me for the assignments, Sandy is the only person I can ever reach. I also had 2 signings back in August, she claims that he is responsible for payment , as she is also a notary (as well as his personal assistant), and does not run or own the company. I have made numerous collection calls all of course to Sandy, who claims to be calling Dwayne because she is the only person with his home phone number, and I never receive a call back from either one of them. She got angry at me and said she has been "with him" for three years, and that he has hundreds of notaries nationwide that always get paid, or as she puts it (ha, ha we would not keep our notaries if we did not pay them), notice she said our like they are a team. She also told me that checks went out 2 weeks ago, then she said he forgot mine, and another person in Florida, then she said he was having computer problems, then she said he could have swore he mailed it. Yesterday, she told me he just lost his mother, and that he has a terminally ill child (if this is something that she made up, then she needs help). I am not acceping any furhter assisnments from this company. I have found 4 or 5 messages on Notary Beware.com in regards to this company (this includes the on I posted ther about them. I have informed them that I will invoice both the lender/borrower also, but it did not seem to bother her. I have been doing this for six months and this is my first no pay as well. I will keep you posted if I can resolve this. Take care, and thank you again for the response.

If you folks want, you can go to Yahoo and do a search...DCS is a listed site and you can leave a review of your experience on the site for all to see.

Re: "never again" DCS Mobile Notaries Payment Issues

Hi PJA,
Just a line to let you know that I finally received payment for my August signings. I am happy to finally receive payment. However, I would never again accept an assignment from this company. I spent a great deal of time and effort on trying to collect, so it seems as if you work for free. I finally left Sandy a message telling her she was as unethical as Dwayne. I received on irate call from her demanding me to call her back immediately. I did what they do best, I did not respond back. I received check two days later (go figure). Keep on fighting with them to get monies due to you, maybe we can prevent them from trying to burn others. Good luck to you, keep me posted.
