Deadbeat - e Mobile Notary, Bellevue, WA
Printed e-docs on 8/1, attempted signing but borrower refused to sign, Second attempt on 8/2 was successful. Since then I have sent several faxes and made several phone calls attempting to get paid. Was told on several occasions that "check was in the mail", now I'm told that they only pay after they get paid from lender, and since lender "shorted" the payment to e Mobile Notary I have to wait until they get additional funds from Lender. What a crock. These guys have lied to me so many times and now since I complained that even e latest promise made on 9/27 that I would be paid on 9/30 also turns out to be untrue, they are "deleting me from their system". Sounds OK to me as I wouldn't accept any assignments from them in the future anyway.
IMHO, they deserve the Deadbeat Award of the Week if not the Month.
Beware, these guys pay the notary (if ever)only from out of the borrowers money, not from their invested capital. And if you complain that you don't like to work for free they get very offended. I guess is their world we should just sit back and keep quiet about expecting to get paid in a reasonable amount of time.

sorry to hear of this. I have completed many signings for these folks. I have always been paid on time and the agreed fee. I hope it gets cleared up...

As is always the case -- some of us have problems being paid and others do not. I have just had a bad experience with e Mobile Notary. They did not tell me that they wait until they are paid by a TC before paying me. Then, when I called to find out what's up, I got conflicting stories. Bottom line, I agreed to handle a difficult signing. Now, 45 days later and after calling twice for payment info, I am told that I have been "zeroed out" (whatever that means) and will get paid when I get paid! My reply was simple, "I will send you a five-day demand for payment letter and if I do not receive payment, you will get an invitation to our Superior Court-Small Claims Division." For those of you who are starting out, I am beginning to believe that the best SS I have worked for will ask for a W-9, Contract, Resume, copies of your state commission, E&O and Bond insurance, etc. Those folks are pros. They will also inform you of their payment schedule -- stick with them -- avoid the sponges who live off your hard work!
