E Doc crisis.midweek vent
I did an e-doc signing, for a new "client" This was escrow direct.
This was also the 3rd time around for the borrowers, due to number, and impound account mistakes. In fact the last time I went out there was still errors on the impound set up, but the customer still wanted to sign the documents.Aparently I even made an error, but it was not disclosed "what " error I did. I recieved a phone call, not a nice one from the loan officer. That I wasted people time, and money, and she won't be paying me! ErRRRRRR! This has never happened to me. I am just venting, letting out some stream!!!!

I'd politely ask the LO what error I made and to send me a copy of said error via fax.
I had one SS call me recently claiming that I had made a major mistake on a set of docs (allowed the wife to sign the docs supposedly). Since I vaguely remembered the wife signing the docs (busy people forget things they did three weeks ago), I discounted the fee for the signing to the SS, after offering to go back out and correct the signing for free.
Lo and Behold, my docs recorded, including the QC Deed that the hubby had to sign adding his wife to the title immediately before we signed the rest of the docs with her added as a borrower. I called the SS back and was promptly paid for my CORRECT work.
Never ever accept the LO's or SS' word that you made an error without asking for a copy of said errors. At the very least, the copy is a learning tool for you.

I always look in the county recorders file
when a SS or TC says I dropped the ball. So far, I haven't and have been paid for all. I go to the county's recording website and pull up the recorded mortgage. Then I rebill them along with a copy of the recorded mortgage.

Re: I always look in the county recorders file
Thanks for the tip. The LO said that I did not have the note intialized. But there were no instructions to do so and no wording on the docs. Everyting else was signed and intialed. and notarized including the DOT. This loan was full of errors from the begining. Even the day I had them signed first and second time the impound account was still not correct! Do yyou always have directions to intialize the note? Input appreciated!

Re: I always look in the county recorders file
I always have them initial every page that isn't signed unless I am instructed otherwise.

**I always have them initial every page that isn't signed unless I am instructed otherwise. **
I only ask for initials where indicated or instructed.
