The hP3015 is not a stand alone fax. It is an all-in-one.
I bought one recently and I regret it! Several numbers I cannot fax to - so have to use my old fax which I really wanted to get rid of. So am only using the 3015 as a copier and a printer for my other computer. And I am also looking for a new fax machine.

Huh? The fact that you can only call certain numbers shouldn't be because of your equipment. I'm no expert, but it sounds like you might have other issues. I've not had a problem w/ my 3015. I use the 3015 for printing, copying and out going faxes. I've never had a problem with outbound faxes.

I get the message that the fax is successful, yet the receiving party is not receiing. In fact I have been trying to fax to Paul (Paw) and he says his phone doesn't even ring. I can fax him from my stand alone fax though! Several people have tried to help with it, but with no success.

I'd send the machine back. Just call tech support and if they can't make it work, they will send an empty box, you ship yours back and they send you a "new" refurb. w/ the full warranty.

Make sure it is a 33.3 as opposed to a 14.4. Brother 8220 can scan in and then you could send as a file. Usually a lot faster than faxing. (Suck it in Ethernet verses POTs((plain old telephone service)).
