Fee for Just a Deed

Can anyone shed some light on what they charge to go out for title companies and the like for just a deed or just revised HUDs to be signed? I know some people charge as if they were a full signing but it doesn't seem right to me. TIA

It's your time. You determine your fee. I have one on Friday where I only have to take the mtg and get it notarized. The docs were overnighted. I charged the full fee.

I have one of my regulars call occasionally to ask me to go get something recorded, because they call me all the time for signings, I just charge a trip fee. If you have a good business relationship, it certainly stands out if you are fair for what the job entails. They remember this.

When I get these type requests, I will usually say I can do it sometime between x and y. could be 4-7 PM. That gives me the flexability to work it in with other closings I have or may get. Fee is greatly dependent on distance. Close by, may be $50. Figure it at rate of min of $50/hr and calculate time involved as if you were doing it with no other work in the area. If it is only 10 miles and you could go,get sigs and back home in 40 min. - $50. If take an hour total - $50. If 1 1/2 hrs - $75.

Just my opinion.

I just did one...

for $65.00. I printed out 10 pages and went to the borrower's and had them sign and initial. They were about one block from another signing I had at the same time and only a couple of miles from my house.
