Here's my first and...
IMO...it's an overkill where every single page of the title docs (payoff letter, wire instruction, borrower's authorization, etc.) has to be notarize.

Andy - Are you saying there is a notarial certificate on each and every document? If not, how do you know each doc needs to be notarized?

Yes, each document has a notary ack. and this package is from a TCT out of Florida.

Andy - I couldn't agree with you more. I've had a few of these, 14 pages of juck docs all requiring Notarizations. I think Notarizing the P/O letter and wire instructions is a bit of an overkill too. My record is 18 Notarizations for a single refi.

My record was 29. It was a Millennium Mortgage, but I forget who the title company was. The entire package, according to my records, was a total of 191 pages. (That's not including the borrower's copy.)

Almost 3 hours not only because of the size of the package, but there was also 4 signers (mother, father, son and daughter-in-law) and the "older" gentleman had a tendency to read a lot. It wasn't a tough signing, just extremely laborious.
