Yes, but...

You'll just tick off the person that has to go through the pkg to pull out staples before printing. I hated stapled HUDs, checks and the like.

The voice of experience.

I must confess, I do staple a check to disbursment instrutions. BAD Notary!

Re: Yes, but...

Regardless if you tick them off, some states it is the law to attach it. CA code 1188.

Re: Yes, but...

I carry a roll of tape and tape the check to the disbursement instructions.

I wouldn't

I was told by a couple of title companies that they'd prefer staple removal to tape removal.

Re: I wouldn't

You wouldn't tape the voided check to the disbursement instructions? Usually there is a picture of a voided check on the page. I tape the check over that picture. I'd never tape or staple a loose acknowledgement to the document it goes with, however I paper clip them together and my acks have space to write in the name of the document to which they are attached.

Re: Yes, but...

I staple everything except recorded docs such as DOT/GD/QD/etc. where I'd use a small piece of tape about 1/8" and stick it at a corner (just so it doesn't get lost).
