Please note that the most significant change in our fee schedule is that we’ve made a small reduction to the fee for signing Equity Loans or Lines of Credit. This has become necessary due to demands in our current lending environment. Since these document packages are typically smaller and take less time to sign, we feel the adjustment is warranted and we hope you understand this will allow us to process a higher volume of orders, which we’ll then pass on to you. On a separate note, we also standardized our e-mail fee to remain competitive in this area

Does this mean instead of doing one closing an hour at $100, I could do two closings at $40 each in one hour and make up the $20 loss in greater volume of closings???

Well.....THAT makes things about as clear as muddy water! Wonder what will happen when these companies that are lowering their fees, (as gas prices rise), will do when the only notaries that will do an assignment for them are the ones that only do things half a**ed., or the ones that are not quite bright enough to figure out that they are going deeper into the hole with every cheap signing they take! Might as well pay the company for the "privilege" of doing a signing for them! (rant-rant-rave-rave)LOL

I'm getting frustrated by all of this. I've had 3 calls this week wanting to know my rates and then not calling me back - no - it's 4 companies including J G Wentworth who told me after I made a quote that they had 2 other quotes both higher than mine and they would call me back....which they didn't. My real concern is how slow business is. I've only had 3 jobs this month!!! How are you guys doing???

You dodged a bullet with JG Wentworth. They don't usually pay if you check the boards.

Was this an e-mail or what? My latest BancServ signing was Monday, and they met my fee without a problem and said nothing about an upcoming fee reduction.

I got a call from BancServ this week and asked for a fee INCREASE and they agreed no problem. This was two days ago.
They may not pay a lot, but to me, they're fair, the loans are close to home and easy and they pay like clockwork.
I do a lot of signings for them, I haven't received any emails or anything about a fee reduction.
