NEWBIE
Hi,
I am thinking of starting in this business, but I am a little afraid. I am going to quit my fulltime job which is the main reason for me making this transition. My question is, can I really make decent money doing this. Do the memberships with associations such as the NNA really refer business to you? I have some experience notarizing loan documents and although I do not hold state licenses I have taken Real Estate & Mortgage classes. My husband is a mortgage broker and my best friend is a realtor & M.B. so I am familiar with how the business works. I would really appreciate any advice anyone could give me. This is a very big step for me and I would like to know I am not alone.
THANK YOU!!!

Use the search button and read 33325. That will give you a good starting point. Use search button extensively. Pick a screen name with state added to end. ---I'm Art in Maryland ---> Art_MD. Its hard to say what the potential is in your area if we don't know where you are.

Re: NEWBIE in FL
Florida is a saturated state, I am in central so I dont know how bad it is for you in the south. I would search here under "find a Notary" tab and see how many noteries are all ready established in your area.
Once you go full time at this there are things they dont tell you. sometimes the overhead can be a lot. Fuel chages as of late have been killin me personally lol..
Do your homework on this and if its what you really want then go for it!
click my link and email me, if there is anything i can do to help you out, just let me know.

Our area is oversaturated big time. You can figure it out by just searching how many notaries there are in your zip. I will never quit my dayjob to go full time (that is just me though). I am in Miami and I do this part time and I do not see any business until the end of month. If I was to do this f/t I will starve and so will my kids! However, if your household does not depend on your income, cause hubby makes good money, etc then go for it but consider it an extra income not a "set income". anyhow is your choice, we can only give you advise but you make the decision. Good luck!!
