FYI, I did a signing for them and found out they get paid $165 from title and pay their "premeir" notaries a measly $40

This is a company that you have to stand your ground with. I do about 10 a month for them and they meet my fee. I suppose they only call me when they can't find anyone else. I was also told by a supervisor there that at the end of the month they can pay more. That conversation came up when they called me at the end of the month and they gave me my fee and I questioned them as to why they don't pay that well all the time.

Are you signed up with them as a Premier Notary? If so, how did you manage to get more than $40 from them. Also, I will only do $40 signings if they are in my town only.

I'm not sure what a Premier Notary is with that company. I signed up with them 3 years ago and they were the first company I worked for. I have a good reputation with them and that is probably why they still call me and meet my fees. I did start out doing $40.00 signings with them three years ago.

If you accept $40.00 why should they pay you more. Try giving them YOUR fee and stand your ground. Your fees are not set in stone. You can change them.

A Premier notary is one they call first at a $40 fee. If you don't accept their $40 fee than they will call a non-Premier notary. Does that make sense. I also have a good reputation with them, but I did the last signing for them for $40. I WILL stand my ground, if they want to take their chances with some one else than so be it!

Premier has nothing to do with it. They call me when they need someone in my area. They can accept my fee or call one of their "premier" memebers.

When I told them that $40.00 is not enough they told they will check to see if they can find someone else if not then they will call back and meet my price. Last time I told them either meet price now or don't call back as price will go up on call back.
One time they had a last minute signing near my office. They offered me $75.00. I waited till 7:00pm for e-mail docs, no docs. Finally got call from lender who was about 5-miles from office. Went to lenders office and waited till 10:00pm for docs. While waiting I called borrower to confirm my arrival next morning only t find out that it was a different address and different town. What was originally 5-miles now turned into 20-miles plus which was a problem as next morning I had some personal business. Nations Direct offered me $100.00 which I accepted. Called borrower at about 10pm taht everything was OK and I would be their in the morning. Borrower started mouthing off to me over the phone and was just nasty. I told her forget it called Nations Direct told him to get someone else. At 12 midnight another notary came to my house to pick up docs.
I spent from 4pm to past 10pm getting docs after driving to lender office. Address for closing was wrong and would take me considerable more trime to travel their and back, time I did not have. Waited till 12 midnight for replacement notary and did not even get a thank you from them. I feel any company that is this cheap can forget it, I w
