Nations Direct

I am appalled that Nations Direct would offer $60 for a loan doc signing that consists of 2 sets of E-docs and a last minute signing at that. Did I accept? NO!!!

Has a similar call from another company, They said $75 for a 1st. I said $100. They said okay. PDF arrives. 1st and 2nd. Before I could respond, they email increase by $25 for the second. I called and said for long documents and two sets, I needed $50. Thus, got it to $150. $60 is way to low for edocs.

Where was your piggy back supposed to be? I never got far enough into the conversation to even find out.

Since then, I've booked a refi for the same time - 4.90 miles from house $150. Better money, closer to home. Sometimes good things happen to those who wait.

This is sooo true. I've had two so far -- both before lunch. I've got another at 5:30 close to home too. The weather is so nasty today, too bad I can't curl up with a good book.

I worked for Nations Direct ...

i used to work for nations direct, as a w-2 employee.

$60 is much higher than what they started out paying! i used to call notaries and offer them $35 ... $40 if it involved much travel time.

this was back in 2000 - 2001, before e-docs were so popular. we overnighted all the docs. but the plus side ... the notary's check was IN the package ... so you got paid immediately.

with all those signing services out there, i'm surprised they've managed to stay afloat, paying so low.
