Nations Signature Closers, Inc.

I'm just trying to find a way to communicate with Signing Agents to find a way to build some knowledge as to how everyone perceives NSC. I would also like to take this time to answer questions (if anyone has any, and if it's possible over this forum?) so that you can get some answers directly from the horses mouth. If you have never heard of NSC check us out at www.nationsclosers.com. If you think we're great let me know; or if you think we need to improve in some areas let me know that also (I can take it!) Signing Services are nothing without a good group of signing agents and I would just like to here what you have to say.

I like you :-)

I've only had one problem, and that was when my signing got switched to edocs. I didn't get the edoc fee and had to chase it down and actually, I'm still waiting. Also, for this same signing, my fee was higher because it was in a rural area. The confirmation stated $xx.00 for the signing with $xx.00 additional dollars for additional travel. I didn't get paid this additional travel $-again I'm still waiting.

However, I really like working for NSC as you don't babysit and there are no fax backs. I also like phoning in the confirmation. I'm hoping, in the future, you have an online system where we could log in our completed signings.

That's the deal breaker!

From what the previous poster said I would not work for you. There a number of things that would immediately put you on my "no way" list but having notaries not getting paid as promised is at the absolute death knell. I know that things are changing and I suspect that you will soon have to dealwith notaries more experienced in the business and with higher expectations of the companies they will work for: its called supply and demand. In the next year or so we are going to go form a SS driven business to a more notary dirven business. So if you take good care of your notaries I am sure that theywill take good care of you and you will be one of the successful remaining SS: if not, its sayonara baby! Smiley

Re: That's the deal breaker!

Charles, unfortunately they won't be going anywhere because new notaries don't understand the pecking order in this business. Nations Signature Closers is really Nations Title but they act as a $50 signing service. Notaries are happy w/their cut rate prices for some reason. I do realize someone is going to reply they earn good fees but look at their contract, they are a $50 company w/a $25 trip fee. Their paperwork has gone through various changes due to what appears to be poor field work. I basically told them to pound sand about 2 years ago when they sent me a form to be completed after the closing that asked important questions of me such as did I remember to drop off the package. If I didn't remember to do that I'm not sure how or why they thought me replying to questions such as this would help. I did, however, on 9/8 accept a last minute order from them and that order didn't require the checklist; however, although I reported status properly I received 3 calls asking about status. Haven't been paid my $175 yet.

We do tons of work for your company. Most of the time, you guys are great and pay within the expected time frame. My only complaint is that your automated line doesn't seem to always update the tracking number/closing info when we call it in. Several times I've received calls a couple of days later asking if a particular loan signed even though it was called in as I was pulling out of the borrower's driveway. However, I think NASCO is one of the better companies out there and that's my ONLY complaint about you. If you guys fixed that one little glitch in the system, you'd be almost perfect. Higher fees would help as well, as always!!!

NASCO = Nationwide Appraisal [and Title] Service Company (Pittsburgh, PA)

several years ago your company solicited me, I never signed a contract with NSC as I did not
agree with the $50.00 fee or the trip fee on a no-sign, no-show. Your company continued to call and one night I had a appointment the was slightly out of the area I want to cover, but I did take it and called the borrower 3 times to confirm and received a call from someone at your
company saying that they had called borrower and also left a message, well I went to the signing and the borrower was a no show. You company wanted me to make the 2nd trip and accept a trip fee for the first, I said if you are not paying for the first you wont get a second trip, but never got the "correct" fee for the first trip, I felt the borrower should have been charged extra as she had gotten my messages and had my phone, I thought the people at your company were rude and not too bright!

I have done several for NSC during slow weeks. They are a $50.00 company, but they do pay on time and everytime I've talked to anyone there they have been friendly and professional. The only negative I can think of is they are a division of Nations Title and by forming thier own SS within the company, they don't pay title company fees and with the cost of gas and supplies going up non stop lately, $50.00 doesn't cover much of anything. Other than that, they are GREAT to work with. and a BIG PLUS is that they pay on time as promised and that means a great deal!

Nations Signature Closers Is Great!

I've done about 4 closings in the Virginia area for NSC. My fee has always been met and I've always been paid on time. My only complaint is that I haven't gotten any signings from you guys in about a month. Smiley

Other than that, I love working with you guys and love the automated system.

I have done 10 or so in the last few months. All but one was $100.00 plus in fee. They do always offer 50 to 65 dollars. Maybe I would have gotten more if I did $50.00 closings ? But that is not profitable for me. When they call. I just ask for what I need based on mileage, edocs etc. And they have been every fair and reasonable in fee pricing. I will continue to close for them. They are a pleasure to work with.

Used to be one of my favorites, but no more. ...way too much of hassle with all the fax backs and instructions. If you would pay to hire professional knowledgeable Signing Agents you could eliminate all the extraneous stuff and know that the job is going to be done correctly. Also, I will no longer accept assignments from you because I have been burnt twice by accepting edocs that canceled after having blocked the time and turning down other work to end up with nothing. If you would pay a cancellation fee this would go a long way in getting SA's to work for you.

I have done several signings for NSC and have never had a problem. They always meet my fee and never assume I will do it for just $50. The staff is always nice to talk to. If one closes after receiving edocs, I get paid for printing. If borrower cancels after arriving, I always bill the full amount and have never been shorted anything. I send out my own statemtns every month to every SS and Title company I work for and there are only a few who want to try to dispute the amounts on them, but they only get the chance to dispute it once. After that, they call someone else. I am firm on my fees and don't negotaiate with anyone. NSC is one of the few places that never tries to haggle when I quote them for the order.

My Suggestion to make a great company even better

Set up a method so that NSAs can see all closings scheduled for them on line after logging in
The system should also enable the NSA to report status, closing, Tk#s, problems, etc
This would eleminate a lot of phone calls for both Nations and NSAs
There are several good systems available which would do this
If you would like further info you can contact me at

I just completed 2 signing with you guys this week. Meet my fee and was very pleasant to work with. I also work for Nations Title and have the same results. They actually directed me to you guys. Had 2 this week I could not make because of schedule conflicts but will be there the next time. Thanks.

This company is incompetent at the least. I'm still waiting for payment for May of 2005. The company claims they sent the check in June and it cleared the same month. I am still waiting for the cancelled check. Is this company possibly doing unscrupulous business practices? I'm in California and the company is in Kansas. I can't even take them to small claims. Enough said. You make the call!
