Necessary to be certified?

I've been a notary for 5 years and am finally getting into loan docs. Is it necessary to become a certified signing agent? If so, any good courses out there? Thanks!

I think if you have any loan experience or mortgage or realestate experience, you really don't need it. I am certified and of course it is on my profile that way, but no one has ever asked me if I was.

No, it's no necessary to be certified, however, unless you are already extremely familiar with the docs and the process, I do suggest getting some training. My recommendation is the Training Guide from the Signing Registry. It's more comprehensive than others, and is less expensive too!
http://www.SigningRegistry.info Scroll down to "Order the Signing Agent Training Guide". You will be presented with a page that describes the books features and costs.
