New fedex labels..

I've restocked my supply and started using the new FEDEX labels.
Where you use to have to sign if you wanted it delivered "no Signature required", now all you have to do is check the box. I noticed that there is an additional fee if you want a signature.

Which box do you use ?

Also, does anyone know if a package is send requiring a signature, does someone's notice to the service that all packages be deivered without requiring a signature over ride the sender's instructions?

So far, my customers say no signature required. I leave it up to them. No problems so far.

I received them "no signature required" and send them the same way.

Husband works as Sr. Manager for FedX. About mid-July changed policy regarding packages and signatures, with the changes being proposed price change depending on if package was sent no signature required, signature required, adult signature required. I haven't heard anymore about this. You may want to check with your local station for the latest/greatest news update.

RE: your question on overriding signature on file: NO. Even if you have a signature on file with the station, and packages have been left without problems, if the sender requires a signature the courier--if they value their job--should not leave the package without getting a signature. That information was from both husband, 800 customer service, and the station when I had to go pick up a package. I was ready to really get into someone, but was politely told sorry, the sender required signature, they needed signature. As the station manager told me, "Keep in mind we are providing a service for the sender, not you the receiver, and that signature is proof to the sender we did our job."

Re: New fedex labels..thanks linda

Info was what I neded.
As for the fee changes, the new labels have 3 boxes - no sig, direct signature - of someone at the address (fee applies), and indirect signature - if no one at recipeints address, signature of anyone at a neighboring address (fee applies).

i've always gone to my local office max, as there is a self-service FedEx stand, with all the supplies ... but sometimes it's a pain.

how do you get supplies from FedEx for your home? or are you working from an office/business?

thank you!

kristen
