PAW...can you HELP me? PLEASEEEE?
I have an AOL account and when I am on it and try to go come here NotRot I get a page that says they are temporaily down for the next 20 mins come back later.
BUT after doing that all night I thought would try Explorer and I can get to the page that way.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
ps...I type in NOTROT and it's not a link I'm using.

I am not as savvy as PAW, but this link worked for me when it happened. It took a few days for the problem to resolve itself, but this link took me right to the login page.

thank you.
I know AOL sucks and they control far too much but I have had this account for 15 years I think and it's ahrd to switch everything over. I am VERY CLOSE to doing it though with all the hell I have dealt with them lately.

Re: try this?
Dont use a link. Try typing in the whole address notaryrotary.com. That might work.

I had the same problem - try this
Type in Notary Rotary in the Search field and go from there. Once your in save it to your favorites and delete the old link. Worked for me.

Re: I had the same problem - try this
I have aol too, and have had the same issue. I had typed in www.notaryrotary.com and that helped, also, maybe clean out some temporary files, I had to do that with other websites I was unable to get into and had been into moments before. After I cleaned out the temporary files, then I had no problems. Sometimes I have to shut down and reboot back up again. (what a pain) but had no other choice. hope this is useful.

Wow, I would not have expected that. It sounds like one of two things is happening:
1) Your browser has cached our "site down" page. One possible remedy to that problem is to hit Ctrl-F5 (hold the Ctrl button and press F5), which will force a refresh. If the site is back up, it should display the home page. If you are relatively certain the site is back on-line (if, for example, you can see it in another browser), a more extreme approach would be to clear your browser's Temporary Internet Files.
2) Your Internet Service Provider has cached our "site down" page and is serving that page from a proxy server. Some ISPs use this approach - storing pages that don't change much on their own servers and sending you to those pages - which makes for faster surfing, but causes problems like what you have described. Again, Ctrl-F5 might help.
I will look at our web server configuration on this end to see if there's more we can do to prevent caching of that page. It should not be happening.

I get that message occasionally on AOL too. Most of the time when I get that if I just close that window and try again right away I get through. I have never had to wait the twenty minutes or whatever it says.
Also, I would suggest getting a registry cleaner program. It will take care of the issues Harry described. You can get one free at download.com
