Per the 2 threads below on conventions and a new ORG...

I'm glad everyone is so excited and positive on these issues. I think that I'm so overly excited that I can't type fast enough to get things out. So please excuse typo's, etc. My fingers do NOT run as fast as my brain and I think ADD might not help either. jk, I think. Smiley

A confession:

I think that NOT being the longest member on NR or "post-master" in responses to others I was afraid to bring this up and be disregarded. (I'm now sorry I didn't just run with it because it would've been much further along, my apology) I have been working on a new site and wanted to maybe "prove" myself to the "regulars" or "old-timers" that MY intentions for our industry are of the best intent and then incorporate this "movement" into it. I hope that going this route works better since there is such great interest.

So, everyone...we will be taking names and holding you accountable for your support! (and that's all in a good way) No money at this time.
Once we can have a meeting and get a plan of action together, we will be able to let everyone know. But in the meantime, everyone should put their ideas down to submit and share.
I have always been a firm believer of input. No one person has all the ideas, the answers, or even the questions to generate growth and success. (thus the different directories and what they offer) Smiley

Thanks everyone and keep the good ideas flowing!

Ty

nicely put, but they are being a little rude don't ya think?

looks like they're working on it now and they are obviously rude to not acknowledge you in the conversation even though youpost and were one to talk about this in the beginning with Charles and Title Gal and then willing to keep track of email addresses of interested parties.

think about the ones you decide to nominate to power

Grow up Nonny. Sounds like sour grapes, poor baby.

Ty does not have the ego problems that you do.

**think about the ones you decide to nominate to power**

You are so typical. No one has nominated power to anyone. This is just a sharing discussion, for Pete's sake.

thanks Brenda.

I go and try to rearrange my office and move a file cabinet, hit the cord and unplugg my entire computer set up and this is what I come back to.

Can't we all just get along? lolol

I'm here sor anyone to input ideas. I wrote before, that not one person will ever have all the answers, questions or solutions. Strength in numbers, be it knowledge or moving a town back to where it belongs when a bunch of water decides to rearrange it.

The poster cautions:

***think about the ones you decide to nominate to power***

I thought the discussion was about a notary organization, not about who will have his finger on the nuclear button.

There is no Power. There is no Rude. There is only ideas about making this a better industry for everybody.

Thank god you were not part of the Declaration of Independence.

Ty ...

Just so you know, I have been reading what you write for quite awhile and find your input highly informative. I don't know what's up with that Anon poster. What a baby.

Re: Ty ... thanks again Brenda

I do feel bad that I haven't put more input into every post that I could've. I have been quite busy and I have taken my time I do have to help my good friend Lisa and helping her learn this business as fast as any one person could and be where she is today. I'm not taking claim to where she is , that was her drive but I think I helped with the knowledge and real world issues. Hope she thinks though anyway. But that's me, I like helping people and the all might dollar is not worth people no matter what the price someone dangles in front of you. Can you imagine what our world would be like if everyone had one day a month where THAT is all that mattered for that day. People.

I remeber when Bob_Chicago came back and I think I had asked what the speakers got paid by the NNA for their part. His response (if I remember) was nothing AND they had to pay their way into the conference. For 1, that is unacceptable and 2, does that not speak loudly what the NNA stands for?

jmho

we have a great idea here, a much needed item that will prove to be a powerful force in making our industry seen for the importance it brings to the table.

Ty is a wonderful and knowledgeable friend. Yes, I have learned very much from her in the past year. I would have suceeded without her (fail is not in my vocabulary), but she made it much easier to have someone to learn from. Ty helped me out, with nothing except friendship in return. She did not have to even respond to the 1st email I sent her, but she did - to offer me (a stranger) help. I value what she has to say, as a teacher (and as a friend).

Ty is not in this for the money. She is in this to help people out. I don't need to post this - she knows why she does what she does. I think this new idea will be a benefit to us all. I cannot wait. This is a very tough industry; any help that we can get to unite will benefit.

I read notrot daily, and feel right now I am still in the learning phase - which is why I do not offer much. I felt it was time for me to speak up - being my name came up Smiley

Thanks Lisa, wasn't looking for that....and if anyone was

wondering....Lisa was not a friend first if you didn't get that from her post. But I consider her a good one now and would do anything for her. She's my twin really how could I not have liked her. he he. Glad I could help and you've made me proud. Comeon....anyone, ask her how she's doing....jk

does she take business that I could possible have? probably, but we work together and I can't do it all. The companies that work with me though, she works for them through me and my network (see TitleGal) and those companies still come to me because we have a good business relationship established. I like that if I want to take a vacation or even if I have a business trip outside the state, she is someone who can cover me on the things that have to get done. It's working together that gives you the ability to acheive more. And there are times I give her more signings than I take myself because maybe she needs it. If there is a time when I'm in that situation, she would do the same without me asking. It's the giving that's important and the people that take, take, take get very lonely.

sorry, didn't mean to preach on how you should be as a person, just tellig how I see it in our case.

Thanks Lisa again, appreciate your words....I'll pay ya $20 bucks later (now Lisa, it's all about the money) jk
