SOX

I received 2 calls yesterday from SOX for 2 different closings. Of course, I was busy, but the scheduler begged me to help her out because she had called "over 30 different notaries" and no one was available. I didn't fall for that. We all need to keep saying NO.

When dealing with companies with slow pay or no pay, when they call for a signing request I don't flat out turn them down. I let them know they need to pay up front. I email them my website with my "Pay Now" button that directs them to pay my PayPal account. I've only had one SS do this so far.

I turned down one yesterday from them. I too gave them the option of paying up front or keep looking. They never called back which leads me to believe that they are actually looking for notaries that they can stiff.

They should probably avoid calling SA's on this board. Their name has been smeared all over! And, I'm sure it's deserving.
