Swift send

Got a call yesterday for a signing. Lender says they use "swift send". Anyone know about it, how many companies use it, where to get it? I emailed the escrow person and she didn't know where to get it, couldn't send it...dunno... Ideas?

When you get the email telling you to pick up your docs, there should be a link to install SwiftView, the utility needed to print docs send via SwiftSend.

You can also get them from my website (http://www.PAWnotary.com/download/). Open the SwiftView folder to see all the files. Included in that folder is a test doc set (69 pages) called tc010676.zhp.

Thanks for the replies. I too thought that the utility was Swift View. They said it was Swift Send. She sent me an email, at first I thought that she was not sending the test docs to the right email address, but it did not arrive. They concluded that I could not receive Swift Send. I think that you could receive the email, whether you could open the docs might be another matter. But she said Swift Send... I even sent her an email so she could cut and paste, but she said she could not do that?????with this program..huh? Maybe this person was a "squirrel" thats what we call 'em in Oregon. Ha!

Thanks Corri..I never did get the docs. As I mentioned in the earlier post, the processor sent me an email with a "test doc" to see if I could open it. I never did get her email. I thought she had sent it to the wrong email address, sent an email for her to cut an paste...still no docs. A phone call came in from the lender. They concluded that if I could not get their email, I probably could not open the test doc.... gad that was a long way arround , eh? So, I don't have docs to send to anyone, but thought if I needed this utility, perhaps I should get it on my desktop. Say Corri...love working with you! You have a good sense of humor..it's needed in this profession. Judy-

You don't get the docs emailed to you. You have to go to the online warehouse and download them, following the instructions that should be provided to you in an email, along with a link to the proper warehouse location.

Of course you cannot receive SwiftSend documents unless you are a SwiftSend secure warehouse recipient. Whoever you talked to doesn't have a grasp on how SwiftSend works or what it is used for.

SwiftSend is what the lender/title company use to send the documents. It uses a file warehouse to store the documents. You can then download them and print them using the SwiftView utility.

From SwiftView's website, the following is a description of SwiftSend:

How it Works

At the core of the Service are SwiftSend servers located at the LoanDocs Secure Server Site. These servers manage and track documents from submission to delivery and validate users who send and receive documents using the Service. Using a combination of encryption, user authentication, delivery notification, message tracking, and proprietary technology, SwiftSend servers provide a rock-solid foundation for the Service.

At the desktop, both document creators and document recipients enjoy easy-to-use, yet deceptively powerful, user interfaces. Once the Service is set up at a customer site, document creators have to do little more than print the document to the SwiftSend LoanDocs printer. The Service takes care of packaging the document or documents and sending them to the SwiftSend servers over a secure Internet connection. The Service then notifies the document recipient by email that a document awaits. Document recipients click an encrypted link in the email notification to access the SwiftSend server, retrieve the document, and view it using the SwiftView browser plug-in. If they choose, they can print the document on any Windows® printer.

Document creators can track the delivery progress of their documents from their SwiftSend LoanDocs Outbox. From the Outbox, they can see which recipients viewed the document and when they viewed it. They can also send it to additional recipients and delete documents that are obsolete. Business managers can access real-time reports of all document transactions.

Thank you! Delema solved. When some people send emails, the address must be exact. I think that she simply mis-typed mine address, therefore did not ever get her email.. No real loss, by my curiosity was getting the best of me tonight.. Thanks again for all your efforts to put my mind to rest.
