Western Capital Mortgage - City of Orange, CA

Had a extremely negative and disappointing experience with this company. Loan officer agreed to pay signing fee regardless of signing outcome. Printed loan docs and met with borrower at his hotel for a 10:30 PM signing. Terms were not agreeable to borrower, so he declined to complete the signing. All down hill from here. Borrower returned to southern CA.
Loan was re-written and closed. My fee(s) still unpaid. Faxes; billings; phone calls.....all ignored. Filed a small claims court action in my jurisdiction (northern CA) as this is where the contract was to be executed. Finally had the Corp. President call me claiming he knew nothing until the court action......several letters had been directed personally to him. Bottom line......they wanted to settle when the consequences for THEM were clear. Seems as though many companies will fight you to the corner of the mat....guess they want to see how far they can push. The court system is designed to resolve these types of issues and it's our constitutional right to pursue them.....as signing agents, don't hesitate to use the muscle that is available to us. Utilizing these resources can send out powerful messages to others. Continued good luck to all.
