Born and raised

Why?

Could you send me a fish taco from Baja Fresh, spicy eggplant & tofu from Panda Express and a double double w/ grilled onions from In & Out?

If you can do this, I will be your mentor for life. What do you want to know?

Re: Born and raised from a native....Becca

Oh my gosh...your email recites like my lunch habits. I had a fish taco today... Baja Fresh. In & Out two weeks ago...but haven't tried eggplant and tofu from my local Panda...I go for the Kung Pao chicken there.

Poor you - surely there's some decent replacements in Florida?

I did some short stints in MA and VT when I was a teenager. My mother begged family members to send her tortillas and decent salsa, sent in dry ice. Avacodos were simply out of the question. The first thing we did when moving back to California was...make tacos.

Re: Born and raised from a native....Becca

I made Chicken Chili Verde yesterday. I found a great tort. factory real close. With the Cuban/Latino influenece in Florida, I have been able to find everything I need to make GREAT Mexican food from fresh ingredients.

I sure do miss the excellent Thai, Vietnamese and REAL Chinese food that I used to have back home. I'm going to see Neil Diamond in two weeks and I'm really excited because I can have Duck & Dim Sum @ the BEST Chinese Rest. in FL. I'm always happy to call on my clients in Ft. Lauderdale = Dim Sum for me & I can write off the mileage.

Sometimes, I think I'd kill for an In & Out DD----AND the Fries are the best in the world! Don't forget the animal sauce.

Oh, and you must try the eggplant & tofu. It's not as good as my Brother-in-laws sisters, but satisfies the craving. My Sisters Husbands Sisiter (did you get all that?) has a great Thai rest. in Folsom.

Are you willing to invest in an In & Out in Florida? C'mon, I'm dying here.

I'm actually in between Sacto and Vacaville, and yes I love Baja Fresh they're great another place that I think is pretty good is Jimboys, I've only been there once, has anyone ever been to a restaurant once and thought that they were great, then the second time ya think gee what was I thinking! They are like a fast food taco bell but the tacos seem like they are home made. I was just asking if anyone was in the area to maybe meet for lunch or something. BTW, in and out is a favorite somehow I will have to Fed Ex you that burger Becca I could use a mentor!!!! LOL

I am. Was born at Mather AFB. Haven't lived here all my life because dad was in the A.F. but he retired back at McClellan. Went to Don Julio Jr. High and graduated from Highlands High School. My husband and I live in beautiful Rio Linda, which is about 15 miles from downtown Sac.
