billing

Hello! I am still fairly new to the notary biz. I got my first assignment through a real estate agent last month, he needed a last minute signing. This is my first time working without a ss. I havent gotten paid for that job yet so I called the real estate agent at the beginning of the week and he said he hadn't gotten paid for it yet either. I called the escrow company that was on the paperwork I notarized but couldn't get an answer, it is Jade Escrow company. Any suggestions or advice on how to handle billing and such for my next independant assignment?! What to do about this situation?!
