The loan officer wants me to close this loan today. The date on the loan is for the 17th of October. Is this legal, or can I just cross out the date, and put todays date?

I have had a couple of loans like this and the title company said just to have the borrowers insert the correct date by their signatures when they are signing. Also, you MUST put the current date on your notarization. Hope this helps. Otherwise I would call the company who hired you and ask them.
