loan modification agreement

This is an eleven page doc and the last two pages have two notorial blocks on each page. The instructions say to notarize all of them...Why???

Unless you have four signers and for some reason they want each one in a separate notary block, be careful. I suspect you know enough not to complete any more ack forms than are required.

A note for anyone new: we are in charge of the notary block and when it comes to that part of document signing, your state laws supercede any instructions from a lender, TC or ss. They can try to tell you what to do, but you have ultimate responsibility for what you put there.

Sylvia and I discussed the issue. From the fax, it appears that the processor created four acknowledgment certificates, two on each page, with the single signer's name in all four. Additionally, each page is numbered (10 of 11 and 11 of 11 respectively), so these certificates cannot be used with any other document in the package.

I don't think there would be any harm in completing all four as they are identical in every respect except for the page numbers. It is a bit ridiculous that there is four certificates, but ... that's the way the docs were drawn. I don't know if the recorder will have any problem with it, but I seriously doubt it.

It's the strangest thing I've seen so far...so I guess I'll note all four. I faxed it to Sylvia and when she said it made no sense, I felt like soooo good, I like the way that woman thinks ! lol well.... actually I beat strange right after that....printed out a ream and a half of dup docs, spent an hour going thru it, called the borrower and changed from 6 yo 7 last night and had a 2 1/2 hour close, which I had to save several times during the signing....I EARNED that $225 !!!
OK...work week done, going to find spider webs and scary stuff Smiley
