nations signature closers... i don't think much of
being called for an appt in my area. I quote you a fee, you agree and tell me you are sending me a confirmation. I never receive it. I call you to inquire on it and you tell me there is nothing assigned in my name. You probably found someone to close this loan for less and are leaving me hanging. I understand if you want to higher someone for less, but at least have the respect to let me know so I don't hold open the appt time for you and turn others away. I don't think much of that. April

I don't think much of any company that does this crap, or calls you and agrees to your fees, sends you a confirmation and then calls to say the borrwer cancelled. The borrower just happens to be a good friend of yours, you call them and find out that some other notary is doing the closing.

I also had one that I felt was not really cancelled either. I gave a "drop dead" time that I had to have edocs, and I think they didn't care for that since they knew darned well that the edocs would never arrive on time. I said in my return fax confirmation that "if edocs are not received by 3pm, we have no deal". I guess I could have worded it more diplomatically...
Why are edocs always last minute anyway? And why are they scheduling a notary within 2-5 hours of an appointment...hasn't this borrower been going through the mortgage process for like 2-3 weeks? I have one great company that books me way ahead of time and they usually stick to it. They overnight docs and it's pretty stress free. Why can't they all do that? What's with the rush? And some act like I'm crazy when I turn down an appointment because I prefer to keep some social plans rather than cancel to do their last minute closing.

I personally feel that the scheduling should be left to us. If they insist on setting the date, at the least let us set the time. Late documents are in a large part, an inconvenience to the borrower and the sa, not the tc, ss or lender. I strongly believe there is absolutely no excuse for late docs.
