request for not dating
Had a call for signing and they e-mailed docs, then e-mailed me later asking not to date the signatures. Is that a common request and then what do you do.

As long as they're not asking you to leave dates blank on the notarial certificates, it shouldn't be a problem. It's up to the borrower if they want to sign without dates.
But as far as the notarizations go, I don't mess with the dates (or EVER leave it blank).

the borrower didn't feel comfortable in not dating so they signed the correct date. I did not leave notary blank and signed the correct date. I'm just wondering if this is a common request, and also wondering if the co. is going to be mad that I didn't follow their instruction. Thanks for your reply. Where in ca are you? I'm in oc.

Sometimes, there is a request that certain PRE-disclosures are not dated.. make sure that is not was you were asked

Thanks Lisa. This explanation makes sense.

I was just ask to do a closing that because I wouldn't back date they asked me to just witness the Brw signature and not sign anything. As it happened they got another notary to do the signing. I don't know what he or she did.
