CA Notaries

Has anyone recently had to choose a vendor for the mandatory course yet? Im up for renew soon and wondering the best prices, online availability of courses, etc. Thanks for your opinions.

Hi Title Gal:

Duane Gomer Seminars in Mission Viejo is usually the least expensive and I believe they have online classes also. Their website is www.duanegomer.com but I don't see the renewl seminars listed. I know they offer them. Their toll free line is 800-439-4909. Good luck!

Best regards,
Charles

Okay, it's been 4 years but this is ridiculous.

Try CSNP.com....California School of Notary Public. They're really good.

Was that $99 for certification or $99 for CE classes? NM

Re: Was that $99 for certification or $99 for CE classes? NM

The course was $99, you received a cert to present at SOS test site, that you had your 'edumacation'. For another $40, they are a test center too, but I'll take my SOS test local here.

Irritates me to pay almost a hundred bucks - I'd rather just challenge the test! (wish I could).

Re: CA Notaries - notaryclasses.com, thanks but.....

I'm boycotting notaryclasses.com. Their ad campaign about the $100K per year in earnings as a Notary prevents me from adding to their cash flow - I'll let someone else donate to that cause.

I'm not endorsing anyone, the SOS has a list

on their website. It so happened that notaryclasses.com was at the top of the list and I just clicked on their site and got the fees. Thas all folks!!!

Re: I'm not endorsing anyone, the SOS has a list

Just a clarification, notaryclasses.com and notaryclasses.net are two seperate companies. I personally wouldn't use either. ".com" because of what I consider to be misleading and unethical advertising, ".net" because their website states that you can complete the course(which is supposed to be 6 hrs) in 1 hr. Neither company demonstrates any ethics in their striving to make a buck, in my opinion.

Re: CA Notaries - FYI those renewing commission

NotaryClasses.net is offering their online course for taking the CA notary exam for $30.00 in DECEMBER only. It's the lowest price I've found.
