Distracting a Difficult Borrower

When distracting a difficult borrower, make sure you are prepared for unexpected end results.

Last night, while at a signing, I had a very difficult borrower. To distract her and hopefully move the signing along, I brought up the fact that she had a tattoo on an usual place -- that place being her earlobe.

Well, it worked, and she started pointing out tattoos on her arms and legs and her upper chest. In between, I was pushing papers at her, and pointing for her to sign or initial and things were moving along great.

All of a sudden, the borrower stands up, turns around, pulls up her shirt and pulls down her pants. She's not wearing a bra or panties. She has a huge panther on her back that covers her....ummmm.....derriere as well.

The panther was not what had my jaw dropping to the floor. The fact that she disrobed about caused me to fall off my chair onto the floor.

Well, I immediately started talking about her furniture. At which point she adjusted her clothing and sat back down.

Good grief, I had no idea that the signing was going to turn into a peep show. Too bad I always leave my purse in car and had no dollar bills on hand.

Lol, that's an interesting one! We get weird ones like those once in a while....I tell ya, we have the most interesting job.

It's interesting to note that you know the price of those peep shows, Tina. Are you, perchance, just a part-time signing agent?

C'mon Hugh, you know as well as I those peep shows are only two-bits.

Stay safe and out of harms way. I know you're in Austin, but even there, it may get a bit windy and wet. Rita is not to be fooled with. Granted, she'll have plenty of bass boats and liquor stores under her fury, but please give her a wide berth.
