Ditech Jurats

I have been doing Ditech loans for a couple of years now, sometimes I wonder why. As we all know, Ditech has you attach jurats to practicaly everything (just kidding). Yesterday I was told that Ditech had rejected the jurat I used and the signing agency faxed me jurats they wanted me to use. They did not like MY jurat (they have been accepting it all year) because the optional information included the document date and number of pages, which they did not want included on THEIR jurat.

I just think it is such nonsense....................

(just venting)

I'd be cautious of (really) loose jurats... who knows what they'll attach it to. Think I'd have a little talk with them.

Re: Ditech Jurats, I'd be very careful with taht request

I always tie loose certificates to the document being notarized and also comment that there is a loose certificate attached on the document. If someone objects to the number of pages and the name of the document I would immediately and deeply suspect their motive. What are they planning to attach to the document and what are they planning to do with the certificate? Don't get your self in a bind: its not worth all of the asignments any SS can provide.

If they didn't state in thier instructions not to put optional information on the jurat than they made a mistake in not informing you of thier requirement. You did your job correctly. I would say if you want new jurats send the docs and I will attatch new jurats to them and charge a fee for it. Oh and I would first go online and check and see if the docs have been recorded. I would be very leary of anyone asking for loose certs. Maybe they have a new requirement, if so then it is up to them to tell you before the signing. Never send a loose cert, who knows what it could end up attached to.
