HELP
I did a coop refinance last night. I am going through the documents to make sure that everything is in order before I ship them out. I came across a page that says "Assignment of Proprietary Lease" and because this is my first Coop Refinance I am not sure how to fill this form in. See below:
Know that, Jane Doe, an unmarried women, herin referred to as the "Assignor(s)," in consideration of the sume of One ($1.00) Dollar, paid by _____________________________ _____________________________________________("Assignee"), and for other good and valuable consideration, does hereby assign unto the Assignee a certain proprietary lease made by __________________________________________________________________ to the undersigned, dated the 13th day of September, 2005, for all the rest of the term of said proprietary lease, subject to covenants, conditions and limitations therein contained.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Assignor has exected this Assignment on ___________________.
___________________ Jane Doe
What I did: For the first line I wrote in the New Lender's Name, for the second line I entered the Cooperative's Name and added the words "As Lessor" after the cooperative's name and finally for the date I entered the closing date (09/13/2005). I am hoping I filled it in correctly but if I haven't, I'd like to contact the borrower before shipping it out and have him re-sign it so that I can fill it in properly. BTW, this came from the Title Co. who is also the settlement agent. I appreciate any assistance that you can provide me with.
Thanks a million

You might receive more help if you didn't hide under "Anonymous." I notice on this board, you receive more help if you identify yourself and the state you reside.

Myself, I wouldn't have put anything in. I don't feel it's my duty to do so. It doesn't appear that you had to notarize the doc, so if there are blanks, it's up to the lender/tc to make sure they get filled in properly. If you fill it in incorrectly, then you may cause a problem which could put you in deep water.
In general, I only worry about docs I have to notarize.

Figured out to have my name up. Any who, the document did need to be notarized and that is why I filled it in. I did contact the Title Co. however, she is not in as of yet. I am trying to, at least find some way to remedy this by the time I hear from her. The borrower was very nice and advised me that she would be available today should I need her. She's not that far from me, but I'd like to get some feedback, before going out on the road without necessity.
Thank you for all of your responses so far
