I been having problems with this SS; I called for a signing a did for them on August and
they always say that they are going to look in to it, and will call me back.

Are you also having problems with this SS?

I did a last minute with e docs and now they are giving me trouble collecting from them.

Never worked with this SS before, but keep in mind that payment from a Signing Service may take somewhere between 30-60 days. I would assumed you did an August EOM signing since it was last minute, so it's probably only around 30 days and may be a bit too soon for you to start demanding payment from them...IMO

I'm sorry but this is just the kind of mindset that allows the SSs to get away with playing with your money. This is the only business Inow of where the contractors don't seem to give a darn about when they get paid, is that because some of them are not really in business and this is just a hobby for them? Why not just volunteer your services?

Charles...I couldn't agree more.

I've been brainwashed, tho - when I first joined this board, I read (with horror) these stories stories and finally got the courage to post and suggest..."are you all out of your minds?" I got slammed somewhat and told it was "just the way it was".

Not anymore (for me). When I accept a call I talk payment first via confirmation, and the SECOND thing I insist upon is payment within 30 days of the date of SIGNING...I don't care when it closes. It's just my policy now. If they can't live with that I won't accept the signing. There's just no excuse.

My bills have to be paid within 30...what planet are these signing services living on anyways?

What bothers me more is what planet do these notaries live on accepting that its just the nature of the business to ge paid 30 to 60. I'd like to see them try that with their bills!

They are on my "do not work for" list. I had lots of trouble in my communications with her. Took forever to get a second trip fee out of her. I won't go there again. I think she's a "one person show" who gets all her business from that one lender, with whom she has some kind of connection. And it takes a while to get her to respond, look into things and get back to you. She will pay, though. IF it's been more than 30 days, then I would just start faxing my invoice every day until the check comes. Otherwise, keep calling and have a bit more patience. It will eventually come, I think.

My one and only experience with Le's was all good. Got a call on Saturday for a Sunday closing w/edocs. They met my fair but healthy fee and I received payment exactly 1 month and 2 days later. No complaints here.
