Need help filling out a notarial certificate!
The following is the last part of the Power of Attorney and Correction agreement;
.......personally appeared (name of borrower), provided to me through satisfactory evidence of identification, which were_________, to be the person whose name is signed on the preceding or attached document.........
What goes after "which were"? They type of ID used? Also, wife was signing as Atty in fact for husband. So, where the borrowers name goes should I put her name and his name as her attorney in fact?? It all won't fit!

Call the title company and ask them what they prefer. Photocopy the document to have a spare or two. Then neatly print above the name of the borrower information. If you blow it, you can use the spare.

The type of ID goes there. What state are you in? For CA I would use a loose all purpose certificate. AS for the name on the certificate, the only person you put on a certicate is the person you are able to ID. When a person is signing for another person as AIF, the person who is doing the signing is the one name you put on the certificate. You don't have the other person appearing before you. The name doesn't go on the certificate.
In other words, her name is the only name you will put on the certificate. She was the only one there, who appeared before you, Right!

Re: Name affidavit help?
Most of these have a Jurat, not all. A person signing as AIF can not take an oath for another person. So if it has a Jurat you can not notarize the AIF signature. Iif you are having a borrower sign a Error and Omissions document and the person is signing for himself and his spouse as AIF, you can only notarize the person and not the AIF signature. Hope this helps.
