New SA with a question

Do you ask for the name of the lending company first when people call you for signings (before you agree to take the job)? It sounds like there are some lenders that require a whole lot more than others.

I always ask who the lender is and what type of loan it is (ie: refi, HELOC, 1st or 1st and 2nd, etc) Certain lenders have certain requirements (like multiple faxbacks, will not pay if loan doesn't fund, etc.) and I don't work for those companies. Good luck!

Is there a way to find out who these companies are...or is it just trial and error?

Yes. Research this board for trouble lenders, no no companies, etc. Also, experience tells as well. Some SS's will be upfront regarding lender specifics like the no sign, no fee rule.

Carissa...just a suggestion - your profile is blank. Nothing, no comments, no pic...you might want to spend some quality time there - it's a marketing tool for you, advertising your service to SS/TC. Having it blank...means...?

Also if you put your state abbreviation in your name you'll get better responses to the questions you post.
