OT street names

I get a laugh some time with the names of some of the streets. A few of the ones I remember:

Hippity Hop Lane
Happy Heart Lane
Primrose Path
Garden Path
Wye Knot Road
Heavens Gate
Kris Kringle Street
Next Road

When I lived/worked in Orlando area, we did lots of business in Marion County as well. There is a developement there that has all its streets named for old celebrities. Jack Benny Dr. Jackie Gleason Dr. etc. Yes, it was a retirement community.

There's a Welfare Street near me. I'm sure people joke around and say "yeah, I'm on Welfare!" for laughs.

Sylvia, I think I'm going to suggest to my hubby a move to Florida. With a street like "I Dream of Jeannie Way" could life really get any better. Up in Central CA there's a "Lovers Lane".

My all time favorite is "My Drive Way". Yes, it is actually a real street name. Another, (since I am a member of a few Mazda MX-5 clubs and drive one myself) is "Miata Drive".

I used to live on "Old Bust Head Road" when I lived in Fauquier County. I now go past a dirt/gravel road in Glouchester County that's about 2 blocks long called "Tennis Court" with none to be found. (That's pronounced "Gloster" by the way.)

One of my favorites in Santa Ana CA is Memory Ln. Palm Springs, CA has a number of streets named after celebrities. My local fav here on the Mendocino Coast is No Name Lane.

My favorite is in Troy Alabama. It's Bacon and Egg rd. My son took a picture of it for school he thought it was so funny. He was 8 at the time.

We have a Holliewood Blvd. in my town. It is on a gravel road and has trailers on both sides. KY version I guess. Someone should sell maps at the beginning I think.

There is a street names "Boulevard" - that it, nothing else. I though there was a typo on the confirmation - nope....even the street sign said boulevard.

Lake Jackson, Tx

Any Way
Winding Way
That Way
This Way

These were established around the time that Dow Chemical settled into the area. I "see" a bunch of drunk, bored engineers having a little fun in a marshy, mosquito filled swampland. However, it's quite a nice little city now.
