The Golden Sombrero
Today I hit the Golden Sombrero. I have explained 4 times (2 to lender, 2 to ss) that in CA we notarize signatures not capacities. I think maybe they get it now. Although I do understand this is a case of them just not knowing the law in CA it still is frustrating.

SarahB...I don't know what that Golden Sombrero is, but I certainly would like my picture taken with it.
(Help me out here, what's the GS referring to?)

In baseball to strike out 4 times is the "Golden Sombrero", 3 is the "hat trick", 2 is back to back and 1 is a single.

SaraBeth,
I don't doubt that your reference to three times and a hat trick is used in baseball, but I believe it was lifted from ice hockey where it refers to three goals in a single game.

Oh yeah it's originally a hockey term that has since spilled over to some baseball announcers.
The ss called me again today to update me that he gave the lender the number to the SOS and the NNA so they could confirm Ca notorial law and that the loan funded today. My concern and my job is to collect signatures, initials, dates, notarize and return docs. Now if a loan doesn't fund after I've done my job correctly I really can't concern myself with that. If I did I wouldn't be an impartial party in the process. I do not mind explaining CA notorial procedure when needed. But that is where my responsibility ends.
