"Loose" certifiates

Dear All I wonder if you can help me? When attaching a loose certificate to a preprinted one, do both the preprinted certificate and the loose certifice need to be notarized?
Thank you

If you are attaching the certificate you notarize only that one.

Thank You Jenny_CA. I look at this board everyday (a few times a day)and I do appreciate the time people take to assit others. I can now go to my signing assured I am doing the right thing.

You are welcome, don't forget to line out the wording on the other certificate.

Where does one get a sample "loose certificate"? I checked a couple of places, including www.legalforms.com but didn't find anything.

Rick
