o/n docs to full time job??????

I have read the posts from several individuals stating that they were moonlighting as an nsa. What do you do about o/n docs? Do you have them o/n to your office or do you run home in the middle of the day to try to meet the courier? One company stated that the pkg didn't require a signature, so I picked them up when I got home. My concern is for those companies in which you receive docs the same day as the signing.

What I normally do is run home to get the docs, then go to the signing. If they require a signature and nobody is home, they usually put a note for me to go to their location to pick it up (fedex or ups). Hey, if your company lets you overnight to the office, why not! Smiley

I just leave a note for the courier and he will leave it at my door. Can't do any e-docs at work, so I have to run home to do edocs also! Makes it pretty busy!

Tell me about it! It's so hard, I want to quit my job to try to do this full time....but not enough business yet!!!

Advice from someone who did quit her day job to do this full time. Don't jump until you've built a steady, solid client base. I've been an NSA for 3 years, but didn't bail on my FT job until this became a full-time job in and of itself.

Thanks, and oh, believe me, there's no way I'll move into a house that does not have proper foundation settings. I'm just impatient and I wanna get out of here already! Smiley

It took me about a year and a half, but I deliberately grew my business slowly.

Can you receive the packages at work? I know a couple of people who do.

Yeah, i am...just didn't know how SS's felt about that type of thing, and I wanted to poll to see how others who work a FT job handle the grind.

I work full time and have never had a problem with having docs delivered to my work address. Neither my employer nor SS has had a problem. I don't take up my work time to process docs as I am only accepting delivery on them. If you think it would be a problem, just ask your employer if they mind if you have docs sent (overnighted) to your office. I would not do e-docs though.

Re: o/n docs to full time job???Another idea......

I have my docs delivered at home then proceed to the signing. I can access my home computer from any other computer. If I get an order for e-docs, as soon as the docs are e-mailed, I access my home computer then start the printing. When I get home I just print out another set for the borrower and I'm ready to go!
You can go to www.logmein.com to get yourself set up for your computer access, they have a free account and a paid subscription with some added features.
