settlement agent

i am new at this , i read some of the threads and am still not completely sure , can somebody help me out? i am going to do a signing , where it says settlement agent , who signs that ? i am the notary so should i leave that alone? help? i hope this doesnt sound stupid.

leave it alone. The settlement agent, in general, is the person who distributes the funds from the HUD. That's not you. Look at the wording above the line, you don't do the things listed.

I used to think the same, I did the exact same thing that Art suggested above and I realized not to sign there.
