I think they do a pretty good design for around $200, hosting and all.

Do you really think it is important to have a website??

Yes, I do. Go to Google.com - Do a search on "college station notary" - that's where I live.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=college+station+notary

Or, do any zip code I serve and notary...I go to the top...

Two hours ago I got a call to do an assignment (non-loan) which I will charge $150 for. My website brought me up to the first page of google. Ring ring...I got a call. That call alone will pay for my website for a year.

The title company I work for on occasion in Houston found me the same way. My website has gotten me quite a bit of business.

I agree with Brenda, you must have a website to be successful in this business. Check out SNB Express Web Design, they are really reasonable and includes hosting. www.snbexpress.com

Go to www.godaddy.com, you can build your own website and they will host it only for $9.99 you can also register your own domain. They have reasonable prices. It's very simple to build your website.

I agree with Brenda. I have gotten a lot of business through my website. I also know you can do them yourself, but I did not because of 1. lack of knowledge in where to start abd 2. I just didn't have the time.

If you do and want to try go for it. Otherwise, NotaryWebsites.com is very good and they work very hard to give you more that what you ask for I think. They are around the $200 amount also and does include the hosting. They are as fast as you are at getting them your info, so should you have it all together, they can generally get it done quickly. If you don't and send things in pieces then they have to fit those pieces together and it might take longer.

But I do recommend having one. Where else can you have 24/7 advertising at that cost/price? Nowhere.

You might also want to try www.aplus.net. They put together a couple of sites I do non-profit work for and I was very pleased with their work and tech support. I am considering having them revamp my current notary site. I built it myself so it's pretty plain. But I do agree with Brenda. My "simple" site has paid for itself many times over.

In the notary industry there are signing services as well as notaries that lack integrity. I would like to believe this is not true but it is. Hopefully we are not sending the wrong message. Don’t Go Johnny Walker was created with the intent of getting feed back from both signing services and notaries. It has come to our attention that this sight is viewed negatively and we have discontinued it and removed it from our site. I believe everyone can benefit from other peoples input. Just like the Notary Rotary forum page.
