whose responsibilty

I had a Title co. call and send confirmation for signing today (Mon) on Sat. I have called them 3 times today to get e-docs in time for 430 closing whose responsiblity it is to see that I have the docs in time?

Its the title companies responsibility. If they dont have them to you in time either you or they will have to call the borrower to reschedule if you wont be able to make it in time. Its no big deal, it has happened to me before. As long as you are on top of them about the fact that you haven't received the docs yet Im sure it will be fine.

Re: whose responsibility

I realize that this is probably not the answer you are looking for or hoping to get, but the truth is you are the one responsible. You give them a "drop dead" time for the docs and if you don't have them by that time, you call them and tell them you are no longer available to do the signing. They have broken their agreement with you when they fail to deliver the docs to you by a specified time. The Settlement Service (TC) and Lenders are the one who furnish the docs. The Signing Services have no control over this issue...they are at the mercy of the Lender's and TC.
