AAAARRRRRGGGHHHH....
Why do they think that all we are concerned about is the cost of gas and the toll free number for fax back. What about our fr....n time??? When did that become charity so people can get their loans and buy a boat????
Got a call for edoc at $100 to go 38 miles one way, oh that's 35 minutes, say 15miles/galon of gas, that's only $6.00 for gas in your area...I tell ya, she had it all figured out before she called me!!! That may be 38 miles, but that's 20 on gravel/dirt road in the country, risking running into a cow, in the dark, and expecting a storm...most likely not even my GPS will find the place. And, not that 38miles on tar road would make it worth my while.
It's not her fault she can't pay more. If the schedulers don't keep their fees down, they'll loose their jobs, she said. The reasoning is there, but her tactic was wrong. It just aggrevates me when they insinuate (I'm so mad, I can't spell) that signing agents make plenty of profit by accepting $100 when it ONLY cost $6 gas, some paper and toner. Like that's all it cost to run our business.

The minute a scheduler starts to pick apart what she/he thinks I should accept and why (that's only $6.00 for gas in your area) is the minute that scheduler talks to my good friend Click. Amazing how well that works for me.

Re: Smooth...
You can tell that scheduler that the true cost of operating an automobile is .55 per mile. The cost of gas is only a small part. How about insurance, tires, repairs, oil changes, brake jobs, tune ups, transmission service, wash & wax, state inspection etc etc etc. At .55 per mile, it would cost you over $20.00 for that 38 mile trip.

It's not as if saying any of those facts will have any result other than a waste of time. Therefore, I stand by click.

I wouldn't say it's a complete waste of time. As I feel much better now than I did when I hung up the phone. I felt even better when I introduced Notary Pro and Nations Direct to my "Click". Wooohooo.....what a therapeutic day!!! I'm singin, both my printers are spitting out docs like crazy and I'm booked for the rest of the week. No cows to worry about 38 miles from home!!!

Reasoning??????
*****It's not her fault she can't pay more. If the schedulers don't keep their fees down, they'll loose their jobs, she said. The reasoning is there, but her tactic was wrong.*******
I don't feel like there is any reasoning in this line of thinking. If these people are providing a 'service' to the Title Company or Lender then they should charge a 'service fee' on top of a regular signing fee. They keep the 'service fee' for the difficult job they do, we keep the signing fee. Instead they lower the price to LESS than I take for a signing, suck up the business from TC's with their 'guaranteed low prices' and then cry and moan when they can't get any SA worth anything to do it... or when the TC doesn't pay because the $50 SA's do a bad job.
I'm with Beth on this one... click.
