Accusigning
Does anyone know if there is a way to report a signing company for non-payment. I know we can put them in collections, but wasn't sure what else we could do to put the name of the company out there so others are aware that this company is bad news. I've been trying to collect payment on a Feb 23 signing. When I actually get to talk to Steve or Barb (owners) I get the run around. Most of the calls are left on the answering machine and no one has EVER called me back to date. Thanks in advance for any info.

By posting here on NR is a good step to let other notaries be aware of slow or no payment SS's. I've only worked for them once and after numerous calls got paid in about 50 days. Good luck.

I have done a closing in CA that has not been paid (40 days), I called and spoke with Barb who stated that they had just returned from attending services in Sacramento for a death in the family and they were a little behind, but the check would go out this week, that was last week. Still nothing to date, I will give them until tomorrow and then the process begins..........

I had a signing for Accusigning last month. They don't return calls, they don't return e-mails and they DON'T PAY. Avoid them like the plague. If I were to consider doing a signing for them again, it would be like a dog returning to its vomit in my opinion.

Thanks everyone for all the input. Sorry to hear others are having the same problem. When I spoke to Barb on the 13th of this month, she said "Steve closed out the books for Feb as we went to Hawaii and it was all done". Then in the next breath she said "we were having computer problems, but I don't think the accounting program was part of it". Hummmmm sounds like lines to me. She then advised I call Steve the following morning at 8am as that's when they are not busy yet for the day. So I did, of course I got voice mail, and left a message. Then called again on the 17th and left another message. Called this AM and got Barb and she said I'll have to look into it as we were gone over the weekend. She then started to hang up and I stopped her and said don't you want my number to call me back. Her response "no I have it" I asked if she would be calling me back today to let me know what was going on and she said yes! Of course 4 1/2 hrs later and no call....no surprise. I'm going to call the NNA and see if there is anywhere on their site to post anything for others as well. I'm also going to place them in collections. As my husband said, if everyone places them in collection they will not have a good credit rating at all! So I'm going to do it. What do I have to lose????? I'm not getting paid anyway!

Just to pass on more info. Just got off the phone with The NNA and they have logged my complaint. I was told they are/have been trying to find a way to alert notaries of Non-paying clients. I was told that after numerous (and they wouldn't tell me how many) complaints they do post on their website to be wary of a particular company. So, if everyone that is a member calls NNA and has them log their complaint it might help? Thanks for listening and good luck to everyone trying to get paid.
