Beginning at 3 a.m. this morning....

my phone began ringing....huh? Yep, considering I had a rough signing I took two tylenol PM's and had a heck of a time getting awake to answer. No one there. 15 mins. later, ring ring...no one there. This continued until 5 this morning. ( I know what you're thinking but I can't shut my phones down, illness in family). The number on the caller ID is a SS in PA, I've never done work for them and can't remember if I registered with them...I'm in 268 data bases and IF I registered with them it was nearly a year ago because I know I haven't touched base with them to update info. I'm not a happy camper today...their website is under construction so I have no e-mail addy. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had one that called at 4a.m. "EMERGENCY" Borrower was a trucker (he had docs) and he was leaving out at 6a.m. Got paid very well for that signing.

Re: Beginning at 3 a.m. this morning....Lawrence you were

mentioning hail the size of softballs yesterday, at least I think it was you. My Dad was a cropduster so we traveled the country while growing up and lived in many different locations. We once lived in a small town- Colony, OK, near Eakly, Ok, two very small towns, perhaps less then an hour from Cordell, OK. I may have spelled Cordell wrong, it was many years ago. We had a storm move in that produced hail the size of softballs and it made holes throughout my dad's 450 steerman(airplane) used in his cropdusting. Season of work lost.....

Yep, it was me. Colony and Eakly are about 1.5 hours from me and Cordell is right at 2 hours. I know some of the best fishing holes in that area by the river. Even golfball size can thoroughly trash the skins of light planes, and softball size can do anything it wants to.
My great grandfather used to tell us kids about once seeing bowlingball size hail, I hope I never see it.

As I kid I used to swim in some of those fishing holes but all we caught was carp....Both towns were so tiny, the drug store in Colony had the old fashioned paper cups that went in the metal holder. I also remember the annual POW WOW coming to Colony, huge event back then. This of course is many many years ago. I also remember the owner of the market being the Payne Family, we signed for our groceries and paid when my dad got paid. Store had wooden floors, pot belly store one adding machine they used to add up your grocery bill.

Re: Beginning at 3 a.m. this morning.... You know

my phone also was ringing last night about 3 as well, on a line we seldom use, so when it does ring I assume it is tele marketers... I didn't even both to answer....if it were the kids they would call the other number or our cells.....Hope you get caught up on your rest today.
