I applied for a new certificate by mail and I received it within a week.

I was told that I had to mail a written request to get a new certificate. I don't remember how long it took to show up, probably a week or two.

The request should be in writing sent by certified or registered mail. Reference in the State handbook Government code 8207.3 (e) IMMEDIATELY! once in receipt of your written request the SOS has 5 working days to issue a Certificate of Acknowledgment.

Re: Joe

I undertand this I used to fax my request ( in writing) and it would be sent I guess they do not use the fax request anymore as I do not find a fax #. Ty for your reply.
