Homeland Security Presentation
Hello All...
Yesterday we had a meeting of the New Jersey Notary Network. We had a guest speaker from the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security. He gave a two hour presentation about document and identification fraud. He also gave out a small booklet that lists all the current and acceptable versions of Visas, Green Cards, Immigration documents, etc.
I can't tell you how much I learned from this presentation.
For those of you that have a similar notary group in your state, I strongly recommend that you get in contact with your local branch of the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security and try to set-up a similar presentation for your members.

Re: Homeland Security Presentation-Just curious
How many attended and where was the presentation at? Hotel ballroom? Etc.?? This would be worthwhile.

It was a very small group of 10-15. It was held at a local branch of the Mercer County Library.

I wish we could do something like this in PA. I was going to try to attend yesterday when I was in SJ visiting family but never got there. I live so far north on the NY border.
