How many cartridges do you keep on hand?

I'll admit, I got caught off guard this week and had to run out and buy another toner cartridge. I ordered a refill kit, but it hasn't arrived yet. Fortunately I had enough time between closings to buy the cartridge, get back home, print the docs, and make it to the borrower. "Sorry if I'm late. I had trouble finding your house number in the dark." "No, you're right on time." (big sigh of relief). Just curious, how many backup cartridges do you keep on hand?

I always have 2 ink cartridges available. I have Office Depot deliver them, along with all other supplies I need. And if I did run out, the store is only 5 mins away.

I haven't had the success other have had with toner kits or off-brand cartridges (not that I would not like to) so I alway order my cartridges from Office Depot. When I put in a new one I order another. There are loads of $20 and $30 off coupons for Office Depot on the web. That certainly helps.

I have 2 new Black and set of color on-hand...

When I put the last black one in, I order 2 more. I get mine from e-bay. Lots of them available for a great price.

I keep one on hand. When that toner goes in the machine, I just go buy another one. I frequent Staples so much, that it does'nt really matter.

I always have 3 on hand, as soon as I am down to 2 I go and buy another one. Office Depot is next to the rink where my boys practice twice a week, so I always going shopping then, if I need to.
Five minutes from home and very convenient

well, lemme think...I usually keep 500 cartridges for my SKS (50 round clips), and about a box of 50 cartridges for the Ruger Blackhawk.

I never even heard of a 'toner' is that a South Amenrican pistol? That come in both single and double action?

You're not alone

Leon_CO,

I see you've already got answers, but I ran out this week, as well. Had to "shake, shake, shake" to finish one edoc pkg. I ordered 2 more online last night, since Staples doesn't carry the high-yield toner for my machine. I've used http://www.monstertoner.com the past few times & haven't had a problem. Plus, they're way cheaper than the office stores (even with shippng costs) I usually try to keep 2 on hand -- I have a spare drum in my office supply closet, but alas no toner...go figure.

I know what you mean. I turned one toner cartridge into a maraca in order to get the last bit out of it.

Thanks for the link.
