$3.50 to $4.00 a gallon by summer...
At that point, it's time to raise our prices. Those that are cutting our fees, don't have to travel miles and miles and use gallons and gallons of gas to get thier part done, nope, sorry NREIS and the rest, if it gets to that point OUR prices are going UP!

Re: Just went to $2.90 here
I filled the tank this morning at $2.56. On the way back from my signings this evening it was already up to $2.70. Sooner or later these SS's are going to have to suck it up and pay out. I am getting damn tired of everything from gas to eggs going up, while they are trying to lower our fees.

I agree Lawrence
It's 2.65 here and most likely climbing daily, sometimes twice a day. OUCH! Between the full time job (20 miles RT a day) and the mobile one, my daughter's racing schedule (2 1/2 hrs drive one way each weekend) which may have to be cut in half, and my gas guzzling 4WD truck, I just may be in the poor house by summer. That is not to mention my husband's truck for his construction job. :o) Oh whoa is me. The oil sheiks will have me busting rocks with a sledge hammer to work off this gas debt.

Re: Increasing gas prices...WOW!!! YEP!
As I drove past the Go-Mart station this morning, I looked up at the sign and it showed $2.79. This afternoon about 3:00 PM, I drove past the same station. When I looked up at the sign, it showed $2.89.

NYC has been between $2.79 to $3.25 for several weeks now (depending upon the area you're in).

Unfortunately, as they say, the prices will increase. The problem is, unless you are a very good negotiator, most SS will approve your rate. If they do...share your secrete. I already discussed this with several SS and they seem to think we are just whining. But as one ssaid earlier, who is actually doing all the driving and work? It is justifiable whether they like it or not.

Re: Increasing gas prices...cut my service area.
I'm cutting my travel area unless they really, really want to pay.

Thank you to the SS and TC's that understand our dilemma
I cut my service area last year, and continue to decline low-ball fees. Additionally, I just bought a 1995 Escort S/W (mini) with an area to have a mobile office, in order to reduce driving/fuel costs. As far as I am concerned, low-ball SS and TC's cannot justify their fees to me, based on time and cost of living increases like fuel. Thank you to the SS and TC's that understand our dilemma, and offer appropriate compensation.
