Interesting request today-
I need a mobile notary who can issue marriage licenses for San Bernardino County. I live in Hesperia. I cannot leave my home and I am trying to to get married here on April 22nd. This is my last resort as I have been trying to resolve this for months.

That was interesting.
I know why she wants to get married on April 22nd... it's common sense..... any idiot knows why.... I can't believe you didn't figure it out........ It's so obvious that I don't even have to mention why! GOOSH!

- Oh all right! She wanted to get married on April 22nd because it is the worlds greatest day... The day I was born!

Korey, you brat!
You really had me going on that one, LOL. Here I am looking at every calendar at the shop (and we have plenty) only to find out if I scrolled down, I would find the answer. Good one! BTW, Happy B/D in advance. And many more........

Re: Interesting - April - New Arrival on 22nd ? (OT)
April is a dandy month for babies! Let me hijack your birthday for a moment, Korey.
I agree that April is a great month - my great-niece ("Miss K." I call her) may honor that birthdate of yours! She's due on that day.
Her room is all ready with walls painted, complete with a white chair rail. The paint is done in two tone Jazz-and-tap-cheerleader-momma-Houston-Texas-PINK.
Pink tricycle with green tassels in the corner...the softest little white floppy-eared bunnies here and there...pink letters in white squares over her bed spelling her name...green and pink silk and cotten linens on her little baby bed...but what really made it for me was her adjoining bathroom has a new LIGHT FIXTURE! Yep, really, I think it is a chandelier (sp?) and she has monogrammed pink and green towels. It's amazing, really. I never saw anything quite as adorable and storybook-like in a real house before.
Heh heh...but our beautiful and celebrated Miss K. will still have dirty diapers and she's not going to sleep all night and I'll betcha Great Aunt Brenda will be loading up the notary dogs and heading to the city by Day Seven to give my sister, the new Nana, some relief. Well, that and to give Mommy and Daddy some relief from Nana. (Fortunately, even as beautiful as this home is, the dogs are still welcome!)
Some gals are just high maintenance...Miss K. will be. Both her momma and her Nana are so she will come by it naturally.
I am really looking forward to my little girlfriend joining the family. I spoiled her mother rotten, taught her how to fingerpaint in the kitchen floor, mix up masses of "stuff" in big bowls on my kitchen table. (Air conditioned kitchens double for outdoors in the mosquito infested wet/flatlands.)
I let her put clown faces on me , er...I mean put on my makeup for me...and bought her "cowgirl clothes" when it was rodeo time back when it was in the Astrodome.
And, now she's having a little girl of her own. Oh boy. Just wait until I teach Miss K. how to make good use of that big ol' fancy house they live in. I feel a second childhood coming! I may have to trade in my small-town notary signing agent title for "Houston's Premier Nanny-Notary."
If I get the Nanny-Notary title, the next thing I'll do is dress up Miss K. in the camouflage t-shirts I made for her -- need to tone down all that pink-girly stuff --make her a daddy's girl...manipulate him into the primary role of caretaker so I can go shopping with Mommy and watch Fox News at will.
Then I'll put a stop to all that healthy low fat food they eat from those trendy little places like "Eatzy's" and I'll start serving cream gravy in ice tea glasses...brown gravy on Sundays, with a little chicken fried steak, or roast beef and mashed potatoes to go with it.
Oh, the mind reels with the prospects of all the havoc I can wreak in that perfect little pink and green corner of the world!
Okay - all done with that - you can have it back, now, Korey.

"Nana"
My grandma was a Nana too. I don't hear it very often though, someone calling their grandma, Nana.
IF I EVER get the opportunity to be a Nana...that's just what I'll be...Nana.

Brenda, can I adopt you??
As a surrogate grandparent??? My mother "doesn't have time" to have a relationship with her grandchildren...

**As a surrogate grandparent??? My mother "doesn't have time" to have a relationship with her grandchildren...**
That's tough, I know. For all my parents' shortcomings at being parents, they were wonderful grandparents.
Then, when my children were only 20-25 my mother had been widowed a few years...she went and got herself a boyfriend. Poor grandsons...no Mimaw to play dress up with.
Whaddya gonna do?
If you have plenty of room in your freezer for Bluebell Ice Cream - Homemade Vanilla - I can still "play." Get 'er stocked up and I'm there.
