LandAmerica and Countrywide

Has anyone had a problem with LandAmerica and Countrywide Loans. They have become very picky in now you have to fax all the critical documents including every page of the mortgage. You also have to wait to hear back from them before you can send the documents back. However, they do not want to pay you anymore than your usual fee.

Re: TitleGal....

Oh, sheesh...Anon probably meant the LandAmerica SS and CWide.

Anon, all SS are the red-haired stepchildren of this industry. If they are a title company SS, add fat to the description.

Hey I learned something last week - First American a couple of years ago demanded all their escrow officers in CA use ONLY FASS. No more could Ms. Escrow Officer call her favorite notary who did excellent work, took good care of her borrowers, and in general made her life easier. Nope, she had to call FASS for the next available $50 notary. That was a bad move on the part of corporate First American. In Southern CA, First Am is sort of the kingpin of the title industry. It varies region, but IMO if they can't get the SS to work right, no one can, especially a title company.
